The Opening
Shot list
1) titles appear before any shot is shown.
2) cuts straight into high angle shot of lots of people stood in a cafe.
3) shaky camera to imply someone is carrying the camera, same high angle shot.
4) cuts to low angle shot of a television screen what everyone is viewing.
5) cuts back to the high angle shot seen before.
6) camera starts to move behind what is thought to be the main chracter, and people move out of the way, as if the camera is also a person.
7) has a quick look at the television, low angle shot.
8) wide angle shot of the london city. (as stated by the titles)
9) medium long shot where the camera is following the character from a distance.
10) camera pans around the character to look back up the road he has just come from.
11) camera starts moving as if it were a person running to the scene of the explosion.
The unique thing about this opening, that makes it effective, is that is is made to feel like it is all one shot, and that the camera is also a person walking down the street. this make you as a viewer feel like youre in the scene with the actors.
